Taxpayers claiming certain tax credits will not receive their refunds before late February.

Tax returns are due on April 17, 2018.

The employer deadline for filing W-2’s and 1099’s with the IRS is January 31, 2018.

The IRS is reminding travelers who owe more than $51,000 to resolve their tax debt with the IRS to avoid putting their passports in jeopardy.

The IRS wants people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities to be aware of the Earned Income Tax Credit, and correctly claim it if they qualify.

The standard deduction for 2018 is $24,000 for couples, $12,000 for singles and $18,000 for head of household. People 65 and up and blind people get $1,300 more per person ($1,600 if unmarried).
